dia de los muertos 05

the big show! with jexo out of town i had way too much to do, so i slacked on the great photo ops but i got a couple good shots~




jay added the arms earlier to complete this massive eyecatcher! i had the hand of bush rigged to give everyone the single digit salute our commander and chief is so good at. jay is the mastermind of the giant backpack puppet costumes.

i slacked on taking pics after i got the fog machine running smoothly and the missing animals graveyard all decked out and lit up with candles.




richie takes a shift on the commander in chief. at about 1am we did a cruise around town. one group of assholes started yelling "george bush! george bush!..." but alot of folks were into it and had georgie flip em off for pics.







thanks all the artists and folks who helped! how we top this year will be anyones guess!

heard a great interview with derrick jensen
. he is right on!


i love the visuals in this incubus megalamania video. if anyone wants to team up and work on a video like this lemme know. i need to get a better quality mpeg of this.


i love the fantasy art of paulina stuckey. she has a great vintage storybook style.

yup! she's wonderful and looks great in the window(you can see her in these pics if you look real close on the right).and i went down in the middle of last night and took some pics of her for my next lj post. i just put a shot of her up on deviant art. thanks lynn!!!!

they are an awesome couple in the window there~
another pic of him here. and ronnie reagan made it, i thought to do rosa parks but my time ran out. i'll knock around another project for you so we can trade again! i love collaborating, it's half the work and worry that way.
would you want a custom dead marionette of a favorite deceased one?

btw~ i was blown away by all the teeny snaps on her dress! quite the remarkable feat there. i was nervous getting the clothes back on but figured it out, *phew*!

The Dresden Dolls are coming to town this week - big write up in the paper - you came to mind of course. I had to stop in and say hello. I can't believe your day of the dead show is here again - my how time flies. It looks like you had quite the turn out, Vince. The show looks great.

I just adore the Maggots - THAT is really clever. And the gigantic skellington really takes the cake.

hey beth! and your doll is in the show too. you can see it's foot sticking outta the wierd cage thingy in the pic w/ mr. T. i was thinking i can send it to you this month (yay!).
i just missed the ddolls in columbus, i was too busy w/ this show :*(
