cbgb/dollhaus show success!!!!

holy crap what a great show at cbgb's! their collaborative show with the dollhaus gallery being a long trip for me, i was a bit aprehensive. my fears were quashed as i gasped at the badass terrible toys. i'd died and gone to hell! the artists were brilliant and friendly, the girls were luscious and the fans were hospitable. and, hey it was the infamous bowery punk club cbgb's!

my little piece seemed so obscured by the killer talented managerie, but i got alot of compliments from the other talented artists and fans, and our hostess emma was very cordial.

well i took about 150 pics (no kidding) so i'll post em in a couple installments. good to meet [info]mygothicbra and the great hospitality of [info]agenesis!!! also the cool stop motion animators that will be coaching us on our video!!! hit a harsh ice and snow storm on the PA mountains going home(where two of my friends were creamed this past couple weeks, totalled vehicles, cuts n bruises). but i'm alive in one piece back in kent.
got faaaaantastic packages from [info]blackstitchdoll and [info]strangedolls!!!!! more on those soon!

wonderful photography... looks like it was quite a dazzling show, your doll piece (but of course i never could resist a nice pair of antlers) & the last fish tail piece are my favorites...

thanx livee! someone said my piece was the only "organic" piece and i pointed out the fish tail piece, i love it to, it has a shark or something in that ball and a barb wire jack in the box!

Oooh joy! I've heard of the Dollhaus before, but never had the pleasure of visiting there. It looks completely fantastic.

I have a couple new (crap-quality) doll photos to get up, hopefully soon!

What a show!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that's an exhibit. Amazing!!! Can't wait for more pictures. Can only imagine the reaction of a die hard doll collector.

that is the highest goal to make art that is magic. a tool that can heal, elevate. change the world. and hopefully it is somewhat natural and organic too. thanx, azaneal.

OhmyGod, I had no idea creepy doll shows even existed! These pictures are giving me shivers. My eyes are seriously bugging out of my head.

this is the first one i've heard of! a similar show at leluz de jesus gallery in LA but this one is bigger.

Vince, how do you FIND stuff like this!? It is so cool that you are posting so many pics of all the great artists that were there... Love the erik sanko, mary doyle, and joshua joyce. These are artists I will have to check out.

I'm in awe that this kind of work is actually getting shows. It gives me hope (of course - leave it CBs to put together something this cool). It looks like there was a huge amount of work considering all the miniatures. I get a brain crap from trying to discern it all.

I can't even fathom trying to "hang" a show like this.

i was told the snafu guys turned emma on to my website. barely a week ago she asked me to contribute and at first i wasn't sure about it. we will make our show this good, with your quilt and doll in it! yes, i lost my list of the artists e-mails but i will get another.
